Our Story
At Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre (PRACC), creativity is at the heart of everything we do. We are more than just a venue. We are a home for the arts, a space for celebration, and a place where the community comes together to share, connect and grow.
Since opening in 1996, PRACC has evolved into a vibrant creative hub and an essential part of the City of Whittlesea’s Creative Communities department. We exist to support and celebrate the cultural life of our city, welcoming local artists, performers, schools, businesses and community groups into our spaces every day.
With two purpose-built theatres and a range of flexible event and function spaces, PRACC hosts everything from major touring productions, to festivals, to community performances, exhibitions, workshops, conferences and private celebrations. Whether it is a child’s first time on stage, a milestone event or a gathering of neighbours and friends, PRACC is where memories are made.
Beyond the events we host, PRACC proudly curates its own performance program, a vibrant showcase of music, theatre, dance, comedy and children’s entertainment. Designed to reflect the heart of our community, the program features a balance of touring artists, emerging voices and beloved local performers. Each season invites audiences of all ages to experience the joy of live performance and the power of storytelling on stage.
We believe creativity is for everyone. It sparks imagination, brings people together and helps communities thrive. That is why we are committed to being inclusive, accessible and welcoming to all, embracing people of all cultures, backgrounds, ages and abilities. Our diverse community is one of our greatest strengths, and we work to reflect that diversity in our programming, partnerships and the events we support.
PRACC is also dedicated to nurturing the next generation of creatives. We provide opportunities for local artists, young people and emerging voices to grow, experiment and share their work. Through collaboration, mentorship and community partnerships, we help creativity take root and flourish.
As we look to the future, we are continuing to invest in our spaces, our people and our purpose.
This is a place where stories are told, voices are heard and creativity lives. This is PRACC, your local creative hub, your space to belong and your place to be inspired.
